Some things are a little difficult to explain without visual aids and stuffing a duvet cover is one such thing. The trick used in steps 7-12 can be explained using a simple example. Imagine you want to pick up something dirty from the ground and place it in a bag but you do not have gloves or a broom with you, just a plastic bag. You turn the bag inside out, pull it over your hand and use it like a glove to pick up the object. Once you have the object in your plastic-covered hand, you turn the bag from its corners inside out, still holding the object in your hand. The bag is now unfurled the right way, with the object in it. This trick is employed in a similar way for stuffing a duvet into its cover. The steps are:
You've probably already used a duvet, but you still don't know what it is. It is a product that provides insulation just like a blanket would. The difference is that it is a bag, that is filled with eiderdown (generally known as down) feathers and completely eliminates the need to use any sheets, blankets, quilts, or comforters to cover oneself while sleeping. It is one of the softest coverings, and therefore, most comfortable to sleep in. It is also known as a duvet insert or duvet comforter.
Children's bedding can stimulate your child's imagination and creativity. But children's duvet covers should also be functional. Try to find 100% high quality cotton duvet covers that are machine washable. They will protect your child's comforter from stains, spills, and everyday wear and tear. They also allow you to keep your child in the best children's luxury bedding without a lot of expensive trips to the dry cleaner. Best of all, 100% cotton duvet covers for children are generally very affordable. Instead of buying one, buy two or three. Changing duvet covers is a great way to update the dcor in your child's bedroom and keep his or her interest and imagination engaged.
A duvet could be washed by hand or you can also opt for a machine wash. The process of washing a duvet in a machine is different from that of washing by hand. Though it is mentioned that a dry clean is preferred, you can still wash it at home. Duvets that are stuffed with wool or silk should be washed in a machine only. The instructions will be clearly mentioned in the manual and you should follow the steps accordingly.
